Cosmetic Dentistry

Closing spaces using cosmetic resin veneers

This patient has advanced periodontal disease with severe bone loss, mobile teeth and spaces between lower anterior teeth. We placed direct resin veneers to close the spaces and stabilize the mobile teeth.

Aesthetic Dentistry Helps Self-Esteem of Children

Children with damaged, discolored or missing teeth sometimes have problems with self-esteem that can be improved through aesthetic dentistry.

When a child has lost one or more front teeth, the dentist can replace these teeth with an aesthetic maintainer. The artificial teeth can be placed onto a removable or cemented dental appliance. Also, dentists can apply aesthetic veneers, or plastic facings, on discolored primary front teeth.

For mildly or moderately decayed front and back teeth, dentists now are able to place tooth-colored dental fillings.

Veneers - Improving Your Smile

There's no reason to put up with gaps in your teeth or with teeth that are stained, badly shaped or crooked. Today a veneer placed on top of your teeth can correct nature's mistake or the results of an injury and help you have a beautiful smile.

Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted of tooth-colored porcelain designed to cover the front side of teeth. They're made by a dental technician, usually in the dental lab, working from a model provided by your dentist.

Your dentist may recommend that you avoid some foods and beverages that may stain or discolor your veneers such as coffee, tea or red wine.

Are you a candidate for cosmetic dentistry?

If you have been thinking about improving your smile, you may be a good candidate for cosmetic dentistry. Take a few moments to ask yourself the following questions:

  • Are you embarrassed about smiling in front of people?
  • Do you ever cover your mouth to hide your teeth?
  • Do you wish your teeth were whiter?
  • Would you like to change the shape of your teeth or gums?
  • Do you have gaps or spaces between your teeth?
  • Are you considering braces for that perfect smile?

If you answered yes to any of the above, you may be a candidate for cosmetic dentistry. In fact, anyone who is unhappy with the appearance of his or her smile is a candidate for cosmetic dentistry. A smile makeover can change your life - make you look and feel younger, more attractive and more confident. Request an appointment or call our office to schedule a personal consultation.
